At Flare Coffee & Tea, we serve high-quality espresso drinks, traditional matcha, and refreshing non-caffeinated options—focusing on doing the basics exceptionally well while offering a few unique drinks for when you want something different. Everything is made with clean, high-quality ingredients and naturally sweetened with maple, agave, or honey—no refined sugar, and never artificial flavors or coloring.



FOUNDERS
We are Lucas Hill and Isaac Frankel and we are the founders of Flare Coffee and Tea. After meeting during the first day of high school at soccer practice we became best friends. We soon learned we were both drawn to the idea of creating a business that reflected our passion for art, craftsmanship and design. This first manifested in our sneaker customization business, where friends and classmates would give us plain sneakers, which we would then transform into something unique and beautiful.
During college, Lucas gained organizational and marketing skills launching a run club, and Isaac developed professional barista skills and a passion for great coffee working at a cafe. Upon graduating and reuniting, our entrepreneurial spirit flared back up. Right away, a coffee business seemed like the perfect intersection of what we had learned.
We moved to San Diego to bring that vision to life through a mobile coffee cart, focused on serving high quality coffee and cafe beverages anywhere they’re needed. At the core, Flare is our way of combining what we love into something we can share every day.
